In October 2010, the U.S. Department of Education, through its reauthorization of the Higher Education Act, released new "program integrity" regulations for distance education. One regulation was to ensure that institutions offering distance education were authorized to offer courses in their states. Eastern Arizona College (EAC) has been working diligently to gain the appropriate approvals for our out-of-state students.
Please use the drop-down tool below to determine if Eastern Arizona College is currently authorized, licensed, registered, certified, exempt, or not subject to governance to offer distance education classes in your state of residence.
You can also use it to find out the process for submitting a complaint or contacting your state's authorization department.
